Step One — Choose Your Trading Pair
First, find the trading pair you want. If you’re buying Bitcoin with USDT, look for BTC/USDT.
먼저, 원하는 거래 쌍을 찾으세요. USDT로 비트코인을 사려면, BTC/USDT를 찾으세요.
Most exchanges have a search bar where you can type the coin name. Click on the pair, and the trading screen for that pair will load.

Step Two — Decide Between Market Order and Limit Order
You’ll see two main options — market order and limit order. We’ll cover these in more detail in the next post, but here’s the quick version.

A market order buys at the current price immediately. You click buy, and it’s done.

A limit order lets you set the price you want to buy at. The order waits until the market reaches your price.

For your very first trade, a market order is the easiest way to start. You can practice limit orders once you’re more comfortable.

Step Three — Enter the Amount
Now decide how much you want to buy.

You don’t need to buy a whole Bitcoin. You can buy $10 worth, $50 worth, or whatever amount you’re comfortable with.

Most exchanges let you enter the amount in two ways — by the number of coins, or by the dollar amount. Using the dollar amount is usually easier for beginners.

Step Four — Review Before You Confirm
Before you hit the buy button, pause for a moment.

Check three things. Are you buying the right coin? Is the amount correct? Are you on the spot market and not accidentally on the futures or margin section?

This takes five seconds. It’s a habit worth building from the very first trade.

Step Five — Confirm and Done
Click the buy button. The exchange will process your order.

If you used a market order, it should fill almost instantly. You’ll see the coin appear in your spot wallet balance.

That’s it. You just made your first crypto purchase.

It’s Normal to Feel Nervous
Almost everyone feels a little nervous before their first trade. That’s completely normal.
